Towards a Decolonized Artificial Intelligence -Online Seminar Series

The University of Milan has scheduled an online webinar series on decolonizing AI, March 28th through July 10th. This series of five talks will critically examine the issues of structural discrimination, bias, unequal power dynamics, and exploitative practices in generative AI. They will also explore strategies to rethink how generative AI approaches these issues.  Learn more and register for any of the talks in this free series. 

Hanson Center SPring 25 Programming -Can AI Generate IDEAs? 

This Spring, the Hanson Center for Inclusive STEM Education is hosting an entire series to explore diversity, equity, inclusion and access within the fields of artificial intelligence and big data. Remaining sessions in the series include “The AI Con: How to Fight Big Tech’s Hype and Create the Future We Want” with Dr. Alex Hanna, Director of Research at the Distributed AI Research Institute and “Are Everyday Writers Aware of AI’s Potential Harms?” with our very own Dr. Tim Laquintano, Dean of Arts, Humanities, and Interdisciplinary Programs.
