A collage of photos with Prof. Piergiovanni in her role as professor and as CITLS Director.

Polly delayed retirement and stepped in to lead CITLS, providing uninterrupted support for faculty and ensuring a seamless transition as we prepare to welcome a new Director. Because she stayed to support CITLS through the 2024-2025 academic year, we were able to offer robust programming including: New Faculty Orientation and Learning Community, the Student Pedagogical Partnership Program, the Inclusive Teaching and Excellence Series, Teaching Squares, and more! Polly also provided individualized guidance and support and conducted formative classroom observations for faculty acrosss disciplines. Her unique perspective and many strengths are exactly what CITLS needed during this transitional year! Thank you, Polly, for your leadership, kindness, and dedication to CITLS! Enjoy your well-deserved retirement!
