Contemplative pedagogy has become increasingly visible in higher education as faculty and students have sought ways to slow down, increase connections, and train the attention in a fast-paced, distracting world. This session is designed to introduce faculty to the field of contemplative pedagogy and to offer some simple yet powerful practices that faculty in any discipline can incorporate into courses this semester. Whether in a writing workshop or a lab session, interpreting graphs or analyzing paintings, contemplative pedagogy offers ways to increase focus, reduce stress, and build community—even through a screen.
