In partnership with the Library, CITLS will host Dr. Jenae Cohn, author of Skim, Dive, Surface: Teaching Digital Reading, for a virtual session for faculty and staff about how to encourage deep reading online in your classes.  Dr. Cohn will address reading assignment design as well as other considerations including student reading practices, the need for affordable instructional materials, and the use of mobile devices for accessing academic materials.  This conversation will be guided with an exploration of a digital reading framework to align with assignment and activity design (Cohn 2021). A session designed specifically for students will follow.
