CITLS’ very own Tracie Addy, Associate Dean of Teaching & Learning, has been asked to chair a group of faculty and administrative colleagues this summer who will further explore and familiarize themselves with the increasingly popular conversations around large language models such as ChatGPT.  As a culmination of their work this summer, they will propose the appropriate structures that the College should employ in the upcoming academic year to help the Lafayette Community respond and evolve appropriately. Addy will be joined in this conversation by Jason Alley, Markus Dubischar, Chelsea Emrick, Tingting Kang, Tim Laquintano, Abu Rizvi, Rob Root.

In addition, the Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges (LVAIC) will be hosting several opportunities for conversation about Generative AI & ChatGPT in Higher Education on Tuesdays in late May through early June via Zoom.  It will all be kicking off with the Information Literacy Symposium, 1-2:30 p.m. Tues., May 23rd.
