All interested Lafayette faculty and staff are invited to the Al Literacy Across the Curriculum Symposium, featuring panels and presentations from Lafayette colleagues in philosophy, computer science, writing, and other disciplines. The symposium will address the ethics of Al, the technical workings of the technologies, and student use.

The keynote will be delivered by Katherine Elkins. Elkins is co-director of the digital humanities lab at Kenyon College and has been collaborating with computer scientists-and students–for the last decade to bring computational techniques to the humanities and social sciences.

An optional CW workshop will take place the following day (Wednesday, August 21 from 9am-llam) for those looking to develop practical classroom activities.

Sponsored by: the College Writing Program, the Center for the Integration of Teaching, Learning & scholarship, the Computer Science Department, and the Lafayette Library.
