The Marlo Room in Farinon College Center was full of engagement in February as Art Professor Eric Hupe facilitated the final session of his Distinguished Teaching Fellowship, which focused on immersive technologies, virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D modeling. He was joined by Anthropology and Sociology Professor Dave Shulman, and Visual Resources Coordinator Sarah Beck. The center image shows Professor Hupe at the “Synthesis” station where he brainstormed with participants on teaching & learning applications that they wrote on their exit tickets at the “Synthesis” station, culminating the explorations. Examine Professor Hupe’s resource, Immersive Technology CoP of Practice, to learn more about virtual reality in education. All are also invited to join the VR/AR/XR google group and Immersive Technologies Community of Practice. Contact CITLS@lafayette.edu if interested.
