We offer thematic series and sessions open to all educators in the Lafayette community where CITLS staff members, Lafayette faculty members, and/or external speakers lead discussions on topics relevant to teaching and learning.
The Center facilitates and manages communities of practice. These topic- or cohort-based groups meet regularly to share strategies and resources, as well as to network. Current communities of practice are listed on the CITLS website. Faculty and administrative staff members are welcome to inquire about joining these communities.
We offer a variety of initiatives that include full-day or multi-day institutes, forums, and academies (e.g. Teaching Squares). One of our signature programs is the New Faculty Institute, a multi-day program held in August to orient all faculty new to Lafayette. New faculty also engage in additional regular conversations throughout the year. More information on our initiatives for new faculty can be found here.
